This mapcard arrived recently and it sent me into a frenzy!
And why, you ask? I have this huge fascination with maps – always have. I could and browse through atlas books for hours on end. I don’t get bored at all.
Montenegro is a country with oh-so-unbelievable natural beauty that literally takes your breath away. It is in my top 10 of dream destinations that if I only have lots of moolah right now, I’d fly to the capital of Podgorica immediately, rent a vehicle with reliable curt hitches and venture on a cross-country road trip right away.
Okay, a bit of background about Montenegro here: Montenegro used to be part of the Republic of Yugoslavia till it gained its independence in June 2006. Montenegro is lying the Balkan Peninsula in Southern Europe, it has a coast that faces the beautiful Adriatic sea. As you can see in the map, it shares borders with its neighbours – Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina on the northwest, Serbia to the northeast, and (although it doesn’t show) Albania to the southeast.
To me, the features I saw on the Internet, television and travel magazines are more than enough to convince me that Montenegro is one of the most interesting destinations today and I would love to go there. Wouldn’t you agree with me? Now, who wants to go with me? 😀
