Welcome to Saturday 9. What we’ve committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do “random questions”, so to speak. We encourage you to visit other participants and leave a comment. Because we don’t have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today’s meme!
Saturday 9: Medicate
1. Do you take a lot of medication?
No, I abhor any kinds of pills.
2. Name one of your flaws and tell us about it.
I second-guess myself.
3. Have you ever won first place? If yes, tell us about your victory!
Yes, in various school competitions way back.
4. Who is the last person to make you smile? What was happening?
My pet dog, Joe:
Joe is my “shadow”; he follows me everywhere I go. He barks and comes up to me if there’s something bothering him or is not right. Two days ago, I was up in our laundry area when Joe came running towards me, and barking. I wondered why and he was soon tapping my knee while I was hanging our laundry to dry. When I shooed him away, he ran and so I followed him down to the kitchen. And there I saw the kitchen faucet… I must have forgotten to turn it off and left the water running. What a clever dog.
5. Describe a time when you should have tried harder?
I think if I had studied harder back in the university, I would have been a dean’s lister, or a CS (college scholar) as how it was called. But I was such a carefree and footloose student that I didn’t care particularly about grades. I was contented at passing all my subjects.
6. What are you best at?
I don’t think I’m best at one thing only – in fact, I see myself as a jane-of-all-trades! But since you asked, I think I’m the best when it comes to EATING!
7. If someone was going to make a movie or TV show about your life, who would play you and why?
How much are they going to pay me for the story rights? *lol*
8. Name 3 things that you think are strange.
Errrmm… breast milk icecream (eeeww, I know!), fake tans, certain people who still try to wiggle out of a situation even though they are already cornered and unmasked. Go figure.
9. What is one lesson you learned in the past 12months?
This quote, I think, is an excellent summary of what I’ve learned just recently:
We tell lies when we are afraid… afraid of what we don’t know, afraid of what others might think, afraid of what will be found out about us. But every time we tell a lie, the thing that we fear grows stronger. ~Tad Williams
Have a nice weekend, friends.
