  1. Not only is she on her phone but she is practicing my pet hate. NO PROTECTIVE GEAR!!! I have been riding motorcycles since I was 16 & am now 50, I currently ride a motor-scooter & I absolutely hate seeing people without protective boots, pants, jacket & gloves. Here in Tasmania helmets are compulsory, even if they weren’t you would have to be completely senseless with no regard for your own life to ride without a helmet. I don’t even like open face helmets as they only offer minimal protection. I have never worn one & never will. I would never ride without a full face helmet. Oh, look at me getting all preachy on safety gear. I’ve nearly written a full post. Sorry but it’s a subject that gets me rather worked up…

    1. Hello there, Tony. I completely agree with all you said. No amount of preaching can make these locals see the importance of protective gears and to realise it is not safe to talk on the phone while driving any kinds of vehicles. I made a simple survey myself and counted 4 out of 6 cars (that passed in front of the cafe where I’m sat drinking coffee) had drivers on the phone. Imagine that — it’s supposed to be a status symbol here. They allegedly look more manly or more attractive with a phone on their ear while driving. Nuts. I want to find a club and smack them to their senses.

    1. Hi Comeday Central. Hello, Danielle.
It’s a cool thing here to be seen driving and talking on the phone at the same time, at least that’s what most of the locals think. Accidents? Pffffft! It doesn’t bother them. They believe they’ll be reincarnated when they die anyway.

Thanks for visiting, I’ll surely be there next Wednesday!
